What sort of things can
I find out about?
We will try and help with anything, although some of the things that people might
want to talk about include:
- Being stressed out
- Sexual health
- What’s happening
- Careers and opportunities
- School
- Drugs and alcohol
- Relationships
- Benefits advice
- Family Problems
- Bullying
- Eating problems
- Self-harm
- Housing and homelessness
- Free contraception
What Happens when I come to Streetwise?
Press the buzzer at the front door and a worker will let you in. You don't have
to say why you're here -- just ask to come in. When you come up the stairs a
youth worker will greet you and ask what help or service you want.
We might be able to see you straight away, or if we're busy we might ask you
to take a seat in the waiting room. A worker will then call you through when
it is your turn to be seen.
Sometimes people choose to see a worker on their own and some people bring a
friend for support.
